You want to switch from Google Sign-In to using a password for your Webflow account but you don't have a password set yet. Here's how to do that.
1. Use the “Forgot Password” Flow to Set a Password
- Sign out of Webflow completely.
- Go to the Webflow Login page at webflow.com/login.
- Click “Forgot password?” under the login form.
- Enter the same email you use for Google Sign-In.
- Check your email inbox and follow the link to set a new password.
- This will create a password for your account even if it was originally set up with Google.
2. Log In With Email and Password
- After setting your password, return to webflow.com/login.
- Enter your email and new password (skip the “Sign in with Google” button).
- You now have the option going forward to sign in with a password instead of using Google.
3. Optional: Remove Google Sign-In
- Webflow does not offer a setting to "remove" Google sign-in, but once you set a password, you can use either method.
- If you no longer want to use the Google method, just always choose email/password login from now on.
Summary
To switch from Google Sign-In to using a password, use the Forgot Password link at login to set a password for your Google-associated email. After that, you can sign in with email and password instead of Google.
