To share your Webflow site as editable or viewable with others, you'll need to use a Read-Only link. This allows collaborators to view the project inside the Webflow Designer without giving them the ability to publish or make permanent changes.
1. Enable Read-Only Link
- Open your Webflow project.
- In the top-right of the Designer, click the Share (arrow icon).
- Toggle on "Enable Read-Only Link".
- Webflow will generate a unique URL. This is your Read-Only link.
2. Share the Read-Only Link
- Copy the link provided and send it to anyone who needs to view or inspect the project.
- They can open the link in their browser and interact with the site inside the Webflow Designer, but cannot save changes, delete elements, or publish.
3. Understand Limitations
- No editing or publishing: Viewers can explore styles, layout, and structure, but changes are not saved.
- Limited access: It’s strictly for view-only inspection—ideal for developers, teammates, or clients wanting to check layout, classes, or component structure.
- Users must have a Webflow account to open the link in the Designer.
4. Stop Sharing the Link (Optional)
- To disable access later, go back to the Share menu and toggle off the Read-Only link.
- This instantly deactivates the link across all shared instances.
Summary
To let others inspect your Webflow project, enable the Read-Only link via the Designer’s Share icon. This provides a non-editable yet fully interactive view of your site for collaborators, clients, or developers.
