Webflow has introduced an updated custom right-click menu that replaces the browser’s default context menu when interacting with elements inside the Designer. This change improves usability by offering more relevant design-specific options directly in the Designer interface.
Quick Access to Common Actions:
Delete, Duplicate, or Copy/Paste elements.
Convert to Symbol or Unlink from Symbol, if applicable.
DOM Navigation Options:
Select Parent Element to quickly move up the hierarchy.
Scroll into View to center a selected element.
Element Context Awareness:
Shows element-specific options based on the selected element type.
For example, right-clicking on a Link Block shows Open Link Settings.
Layer Panel Shortcuts:
Reveal in Navigator jumps to the element in the Navigator panel.
Interaction Shortcuts:
Add Trigger for animations or interactions tied to that element.
Copy/Paste Between Projects:
Webflow now supports Copy/Paste of elements between projects via right-click.
Paste Inside or Before/After:
New context-sensitive options let you Paste as Child, Paste Before, or Paste After an element more precisely.
Webflow’s updated right-click menu replaces the default browser context menu in the Designer, adding quick-access design tools, context-aware actions, and improved paste options, significantly enhancing productivity and easing layout manipulation.
