Clients cannot install the Webflow Editor through a download page. Access to the Webflow Editor requires an invite from the Webflow dashboard.
1. Client Access Via Editor Invite
- Clients must be invited as content editors through your Webflow project settings.
- Go to Project Settings > Editor tab, then Add Editor by entering their email address.
- Webflow sends them an email invite with a secure link to access the Editor.
- There is no downloadable version or public access page for the Editor.
- Once invited, the client can access the Editor directly via their site URL by appending ?edit.
- For example: yourclientsite.com?edit.
- They need to be logged into their Webflow Editor account to use this link.
3. Limitations
- The Editor works only for users added via the invite function.
- There’s a limit on the number of free Editor seats based on your Webflow hosting plan.
