How can I remove the purple test mode button on my website in Webflow?

TL;DR
  • Go to Ecommerce settings, disable Test Mode by connecting a live Stripe account.
  • Republish your site to apply changes and remove the purple "Test Mode" button.

If you're seeing a purple "Test Mode" button on your live website built with Webflow, it means Webflow Ecommerce is still in Test Mode and has not been set to Live Mode.

1. Go to Ecommerce Settings

  • Open your Webflow project.
  • Click on Settings (gear icon) for your project.
  • Navigate to the Ecommerce tab.

2. Disable Test Mode

  • In the Checkout or Payments section, scroll to the Payment gateway area.
  • If you're using Stripe, you'll see a Test Mode toggle.
  • Switch off Test Mode to enable Live payments and remove the test mode status from your site.

3. Set Up Live Payment Method (If Not Done Yet)

  • If you haven’t connected a live Stripe account, you must do this first.
  • Click Connect Stripe and follow the prompts to authorize your live Stripe account.
  • Once connected, Test Mode will be disabled, and the purple test indicator will disappear.

4. Republish Your Site

  • After disabling Test Mode, go back to the Webflow Designer or dashboard.
  • Click Publish and republish your site to the desired domain(s) to apply the changes.

Summary

The purple "Test Mode" button appears when Ecommerce is still in Test Mode. Go to Ecommerce settings, disable Test Mode by connecting a live Stripe account, and republish your site to remove the button from your published website.
